was running chroma + custom chunker that broke every other week. ach hybrid ingest + search page actually shows why a chunk ranked (bm25 vs vector). mcp rag_search in cursor returns usable snippets most of the time now. not saying its magic but local-first w/ one namespace for client docs is huge for us
